Dental Implants

The implant placement process typically involves several appointments. During the first appointment, Dr. Veena will examine the area where the implant will be placed and take X-rays to assess the health of the jawbone and surrounding teeth. If necessary, bone grafting or other preparatory procedures may be performed to ensure there is adequate bone density to support the implant.

In the second appointment, the implant will be surgically placed into the jawbone. The area will then be allowed to heal and the implant will fuse with the bone over the course of several months. During this time, a temporary crown or bridge may be placed over the implant site to protect it and allow for normal chewing and speaking.

Once the implant has fully fused with the bone, Dr. Veena will take impressions of the implant and surrounding teeth to create a customized replacement tooth or teeth. This replacement tooth, known as a crown, bridge, or fixed denture, will be attached to the implant using an abutment. The final result will be a natural-looking, functional replacement tooth that blends in seamlessly with the rest of your teeth.
